Racing Skis

Racing skis meet the regulations of the FIS (International Ski Federation). They are narrow and rigid, with specific dimensions by discipline.

Giant skis are much longer than Slalom skis (at the waist versus 165cm for Slalom for men and at the waist versus 155cm for Slalom for women). They therefore have narrower tips. The radius is also larger. A large radius allows you to negotiate long curves with much more speed and stability.

These skis are reserved for expert skiers and require a perfect technique to be skied.

-SANDWICH : Sandwich construction with straight edges along the entire length of the ski for maximum precision and performance.

Core Structure: 

• Woodcore : Every Kästle ski is built with the finest woodcore, manufactured with a precision of one tenth of a millimeter. This controls the weight, responsiveness and damping characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high quality product that will last over time. The type of wood, or combination of different woods, is tailored to each model line, depending on the intended application of the ski.

Technologies:

• Hollowtech 2.0 : Key technology patented by the brand, unique to ski manufacturing. By removing unnecessary layers from the front of the ski, the ski is more stable, the grip is more powerful, the total weight is reduced. The size of each Hollowtech is adapted to each line of each model.

• Rayon elliptique : La forme du rayon elliptique détermine la rapidité et l’agressivité avec lesquelles le ski entre et sort d’un virage.

• Fast Grip Shovel : Shortened tip so that the ski-snow contact is located on the front. The ski gains in reactivity at the beginning of the curve.

• Fast Grip Tail : Heel which allows to obtain a point of contact ski-snow at the back of the ski. The ski is more aggressive and the support is more precise at the end of the curve.
