Did you know that 85% of skiers have experienced discomfort or pain while practicing their favorite sport?
If you are one of these people, know that it is completely normal!
Indeed, mass-produced ski boots do not fit all feet and all morphologies. We have a solution for you: bootfitting!
What is Bootfitting?
Bootfitting is a unique appointment with a bootfitter certified by the Sidas Academy, where the goal is to address all your foot issues while skiing. The appointment lasts 2 hours, including about twenty minutes of discussion with our bootfitter to understand your needs. Then, you try on the boot models selected by our bootfitter, and finally, he adjusts the boots to your feet.
What are the advantages of Bootfitting?
Personalized comfort: Each foot is unique, and bootfitting allows the boot to be adapted to your specific needs. Custom insoles, thermoformed or injected liners, and even shell deformation are methods used to personalize the boot. Result: fewer blisters, injuries, and pain.
Improved performance: A well-fitted boot improves stability, precision in your trajectories, and power transfer from your legs to the skis. Result: You will enjoy your days on the slopes more, with more pleasure and less fatigue.
How does a Bootfitting session work?
After booking your session, come to the store! One of our shoe technicians, certified by the Sidas Academy, will take care of you for the session. Plan for two hours for a bootfitting session and leave with your custom-made boots right after the session!
What are the different steps of Bootfitting?
Bootfitting Process
Step 1: Analysis
We discuss your needs and analyze your morphology and posture to create custom-made boots that are 100% adapted to your feet.
Step 2: Try-ons
Our bootfitter selects models that match your morphology. The model that suits you best is validated.
Step 3: Custom insoles
We create personalized insoles by taking your footprints and adapting them to offer comfort, stability, and performance.
Step 4: Thermoforming
We precisely adjust the liner using a heating system, ensuring absolute comfort by eliminating pressure points.
Step 5: Adjustments
We perform shell deformations if necessary, using a pressure and heating system for more comfort.
Step 6: Injected liner (optional)
We replace the original liners with foam-injected liners for optimal comfort and performance.
What is an injected liner?
An injected liner is a liner made to measure during a 2-hour appointment, to have a liner molded to the shape of your feet. This liner will provide you with unparalleled comfort as well as improved performance thanks to the perfect fit, due to the injection of material that allows for better energy transmission and increased control.
Advantages:Improved performance, custom comfort, expertise, know-how, durability, and longevity. The injected liner can only bring you happiness and satisfaction during your ski week, so take the plunge!
Not all brands are suitable for all skiers. Aware of this, for each category, we offer at least three different brands to ensure you find the perfect brand for you.
